Reds legend wants change in management

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, a Liverpool legend in the 1990s, is tipping Unai Emery to replace Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout. The German has made no secret of the fact that his sell-by date as Reds manager is not far off and there are plenty of replacements on the table, but Fowler is pretty clear about it. The former striker told HITC: "The biggest compliment I can pay Unai Emery is that I believe he is one of the few managers who would rise to the challenge of replacing Klopp at Liverpool.

But before the lords and ladies of the Midlands and Anfield get angry, I am not suggesting that Emery is leaving Birmingham for Merseyside or that Klopp may be on his way out," says the Toxteth terror, as well known for his goalscoring prowess as for his controversies on and off the pitch, diplomatically.

"I was already a big fan of Emery when Arsenal asked him to succeed Arsene Wenger. At the Emirates it didn't work out as I had hoped, and I still think a lot of that was down to a basic lack of respect shown towards Emery, simply because he didn't arrive with the same command of the English language as a member of the Royal Family. Now at Aston Villa he is proving that football really is universal," adds Robbie.

Currently 5th in the table with 22 points, in the Champions League chasing pack, Spaniards Emery, Monchi and Vidagany are bringing Villa back to the top tier of English football after several difficult years after the club's first season in the top flight.
