Liverpool's squad is shaping up to undergo major changes after a decpecionante season in which the goal of qualifying for the Champions League was not met. That is why a priority for Jürgen Klopp will be to rejuvenate the squad, but there are players who are promises of the club that interest other teams and for which we could get a good amount of money.

In recent days, there has been speculation about the interest of several Premier League teams in 20-year-old midfielder Fabio Carvalho, who has not had much playing time under Klopp despite the fact that the German tactician considers him an important part of the club's future.

The Portuguese, valued at 20 million euros according to the Transfermarkt portal, has aroused the interest of several teams and although the club has no plans to sell him, it cannot avoid relegations if it wants to acquire new players who will be part of the team's medium and long-term project.

The same goes for Sepp van den Berg, a Dutch-born central defender who played the 2022-2023 season on loan with Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, where, unfortunately for him, they dropped to the German second division. However, van den Berg left good impressions at Schalke so the club's board would be looking to sign him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

How much will Schalke pay for van den Berg?

After his time in the Bundesliga, Sepp van den Berg could stay permanently in Germany, and it seems that he, Liverpool and Schalke 04 would agree to a transfer. The 21-year-old defender is worth €5 million, according to Transfermarkt, but Liverpool are expected to get up to €8 million from selling him.
