Liverpool were held to another draw in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp's side were drawn against Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace on matchday two, with the result looking better for the Eagles after Darwin Nunez was sent off in the 57th minute and Luis Diaz's goal, some players played down the Uruguayan's early goal and praised the Colombian for his heroics.

Both vice-captain James Milner and German manager Jurgen Klopp told a post-match press conference at Anfield that they failed to see Nunez's altercation with Joachim Andersen, and while they rejected all violence in football and think the new reinforcement did wrong, they played down the incident in the match.
