The humiliation of the Blues ends up hurting Liverpool and it has the manager worried

After a horrendous first half, Chelsea were beaten 4-1 away to Brighton, their third consecutive Premier League winless run and the first defeat of the Graham Potter era, unbeaten since he arrived at the London club on Matchday Nine.

The departure of Thomas Tuchel at the start of the season and the arrival of the British coach served as a revulsive at the beginning but it seems that in recent matches the balloon has been deflated. In fact, Chelsea are now flirting with dropping out of the European places. That will happen if Manchester United beat West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

And Potter did not help with his starting eleven. The excuse of their absentees, many of them important (Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James, Wesley Fofana and N'Golo Kante), did not justify placing Marc Cucurella as one of the three centre-backs in defence. The Spanish left-back, who was also whistled by his former fans, was very lost in a position that is totally alien to him and his coach was singled out for his invention.

It influenced the result and prevented Chelsea from reacting, falling victim to their own mistakes after a disastrous first half that saw the Londoners drop three key points. Already the fourth goal, in stoppage time, scored by Pascal Gross, was an anecdote in the midst of the disaster.

Moisés Caicedo now worth 80 million

This great performance by the Seagulls led to a rise in the value of several of their players, especially Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo, who is being tracked by Liverpool. According to Fabrizio Romano, the South American is now worth 80 million euros and that is what Brighton will ask the Reds for. Jürgen Klopp is concerned because he is a player he needs to urgently improve his midfield.
