Liverpool managed to get back on track in their second friendly match and beat Crystal Palace 2-0, a team that never threatened them and allowed them to try up to three different teams on the pitch. Luis Díaz was a starter, played 45 minutes and, although it was not his most brilliant game, he did not lack commitment.

The German manager took 37 players for this second part of the preseason and almost all of them enjoyed playing time, among them the youth players who were tested with the experienced players against another Premier League rival.

The Colombian Luis Diaz started as a starter, sharing the attack as left winger with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Roberto Firmino. He had 45 minutes of limited activity, without the explosiveness of last Tuesday against Manchester United, where he was the best player on the pitch for Liverpool

For the second half, Klopp changed all 11 players and after the 77th minute he made nine substitutions with a predominance of the younger players.

Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool their first win of the summer against a familiar Premier League rival.

What's next for Liverpool

Liverpool will return to Europe for more friendlies next week. On Thursday, July 21, they visit RB Leipzig in Germany and then RB Salzburg in Austria. These are preparation matches ahead of the FA Community Shield final against Manchester City on July 30.
