The rivalry between Liverpool FC and Manchester United fans often goes beyond sporting matters. Both fans defend their shields and ideologies, even appearing in each other's sporting misfortune, as was the case in the recent 6-2 humiliation suffered by the 'Red's Devils' at the hands of Manchester City at Etihad Stadium, which was celebrated at Anfield.

Liverpool FC and Manchester United celebrate the 'English derby', one of the most exciting matches in the world, which began in 1894 when the Red's beat the Devils 2-0 in the land of The Beatles, marking the first game between them. At that time the Manchester side were called Newton Heat, but not the passion against Liverpool.

Who was the most disastrous player in Liverpool's draw?

The defeat suffered by the Red's fierce rivals extended the hegemony that the 'Citizens' have over Manchester United. Three games in a row of defeats and a dozen goals conceded have sunk the spirits of the Red Devils' fans, who this weekend were the target of criticism and ridicule, not only from the Liverpool fans, but also from the rest of the League.

The six goals United conceded, three from Norway's Erling Halland and three from England's Phil Foden, struck a chord with United fans, with some deserting the club, and staying away from it, until things improved. "As a football man, I opened my eyes and realised how small this joke of a club is. That's why I choose now to support ManCity. It's time to win trophies," read @thetruch2002's Twitter feed.

Manchester United mocked on social media

The criticism continued on social media, with jeers from Liverpool fans, who made evident the catastrophic moment that Manchester United are living, for example Twitter users posted: "Why are you crying, Ahh, you're United", "Ten Hag was wrong, not only tactics but to get here", "Sure, the problem is Cristiano, What a lie you are! In addition to this, thousands of Gif's can be read in the replies.
