Liverpool lived up to expectations and comfortably beat Austrian side LASK (4-0). Luis Diaz, Gakpo and Salah scored in the first quarter of an hour to give the Reds top spot in the group, taking advantage of Toulouse's 0-0 draw with Belgian side Saint Gilloise. Klopp's side have eased their schedule and will go straight into the last 16. The reds didn't want any trouble and they did it in the fast lane. In just 15 minutes they were already 2-0 up against LASK Linz. Luis Diaz, in the starting line-up this time, and Gakpo scored to put their opponents to bed at Anfield.

Salah, who also started, continued to shine and could have added to the scoreline in the first half. It was Salah himself who set them on their way to victory early in the second half. Lawal came on late and committed a penalty on Gakpo, which the Egyptian converted. It was 3-0 to make it 3-0 to Liverpool.

Gakpo himself could have added to the scoreline but his shot from the edge of the area hit the post. Klopp's side were far superior and were looking the better side against a sluggish LASK Linz. Gakpo again made it 4-0 in stoppage time. He made it 4-0 and scored his brace in the 92nd minute.

Liverpool is the overwhelming favourite

With this result, Liverpool secured top spot in Group E with 12 points and for the game against Saint Gilloise in two weeks' time in Belgium could travel with reserve players to give them a run-out. With this, the Reds qualified directly to the round of 16 and become the favourites to win the Europa League as they await to see which Champions League teams will enter the competition as potential opponents. One of them could be Manchester United.
