Liverpool, a midfielder, has unexpectedly benefited from their temporary injury issue in attack.

But because the Brazilian was also out, Klopp returned to his standard 4-3-3 formation. Fábio Carvalho was slated to start on the left versus Villa, contrary to popular belief, but the former Fulham player struggled in the same position against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup loss, despite scoring, Oxlade-Chamberlain was chosen as a result, and Klopp seems pleased with his performance.
