A couple of years ago Ibrahima Konate arrived at Anfield with the illusion of becoming one of Liverpool's essential players, and although he has struggled to earn the trust of Jürgen Klopp and the rest of the squad.
During last season, several Liverpool players did not perform at the level expected, which resulted in the team failing to qualify for the next edition of the Champions League and having to settle for fifth place in the Premier League, which will force us to play in the Europa League.
One of the players most pointed out by the fans at Anfield has been Jordan Henderson, as our captain had poor performances throughout the campaign, and that has caused many no longer want him to continue at the club, however it has been said that he could remain within the squad and although he would not play many minutes, he could have a leadership role in the locker room.
However, it seems that there are players within the team who do not believe that Hendo is the leader the team needs or that he can take the place of James Milner, who left Anfield this summer after the board and Jürgen Klopp decided not to renew his contract.
According to Ibrahima Konate's statements, James Milner was the true leader of the Liverpool dressing room, and even claimed that he had never seen anything like it in his life. “I was also lucky to be with James Milner, who is leaving us this season. He was really the leader, the big boss. I've never seen that in my life, it was incredible! I learned a lot from him”.
