Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp was left red-faced after he decided to sign Darwin Nunez and backfired in the Reds' campaign so far this season. The German manager squad Reds is only in eight places and they are waiting to see if they can get into the last 16 rounds in the UEFA Champions League. Many players have had unsuspected chances to stand out as Klopp is trying to once again find his ideal lineup.
One of those was Harvey Elliott, who once held the record for any youngster to play at the EFL. But Klopp has given someone in particular more chances than anyone in the squad. The 23-year-old Nunez arrived at Liverpool as one of the most expensive players ever, for a 100 million pound fee from Benfica.

Terrible news for Alexander Arnold, this is how Klopp could manage this situation
And clearly, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thought that the Uruguayan striker could replace the departed Sadio Mane, but he was wrong. Nunez made his debut for Liverpool in the Community Shield against Manchester City and even scored a goal in that game. However, Klopp was quick to realise that Nunez is not ready to replace Mane and sent him to the bench.
Nunez is a talented young player, but he is not yet at the level required to replace someone like Mane. Klopp was wrong to think that he could do so and it is now clear that Liverpool will need to sign another striker if they want to replace Mane's output.
Jurgen Klopp was wrong to think that Nunez could replace Mané. While Nunez is a decent player, he doesn't have the same level of talent or skill that Mané does. As a result, Liverpool has suffered without Mané in the lineup and Klopp should have realized this before making such a critical error. He has adapted yet to his new teammates and Liverpool is suffering for that.
