Klopp's fury at Southgate for not fielding Trent Alexander Arnold

Jürgen Klopp is understandably upset about Trent Alexander Arnold's absence from the England line-up for the World Cup because he feels it will hurt his performance for Liverpool. Various media outlets have reported that the Reds boss had hoped TAA would play at least a few minutes against Wales, but for now he will remain on the bench for the final group game.

Although England remain unbeaten and still top of their group after two games, it is clear that the goalless draw against the United States left manager Gareth Southgate with a host of doubts, which he will have to resolve more calmly in the analysis of the match that he will surely make with his coaching staff in the hours that follow, looking for that mistake that did not lead them to another victory during those 90 minutes.

While it's true that the Newcastle United player brings a great deal of defensive security to the Three Lions side that you don't get with Arnold, the reality is that the Reds player had done a great job in Liverpool's games playing less aggressively and looking after his position,  Klopp himself showed that his player could easily adapt to the needs of the group, a quality that Gareth Southgate did not take into account for this match, costing England a draw that complicates things a little for the final matchday against Wales.
