Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are experiencing perhaps their worst moment

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are experiencing perhaps their worst moment since the German took the reins. Last weekend they were thrashed by Wolverhampton (3-0) in a Premier League in which they are not getting off the ground. In fact, in 2023 they have yet to win a league title.

They have 29 points and are in tenth place in the standings, 11 points off the European Cup places and 21 points behind leaders Arsenal. To make matters worse, they have conceded more goals (28) in 20 games in this Premiership than in the whole of last season (26). These are absolutely decisive numbers. Their last league win was on 30 December, when they beat Leicester 2-1. Just one point out of a possible 12 this season. Three defeats in four games. One goal scored and nine conceded.

Had the same talent as Sadio Mané, won the league, now loses his life

For love of Liverpool, Klopp stays, but demands this signing

To make matters worse, they have already been knocked out of the FA Cup by Brighton (2-1). Moreover, in the three recent defeats they conceded 3 goals: 1-3 against Brentford and 0-3 with Brighton and Wolves. Klopp's side's dramatic form is worrying, especially considering they face Real Madrid in the last 16 of the Champions League in 16 days' time.

Minamino's worst mistake

And when it comes to pointing out Klopp's mistakes, the biggest was undoubtedly the signing of Japanese Takumi Minamino. The German demanded his signature in 2019 and arrived from Salzburg, however, he never performed at Anfield. He was sold in the summer to Monaco where he also failed and is now leaving the club.
