For Liverpool fans and more so for head coach Jürgen Klopp, October 9 is unforgettable. On that day, matchday 10 of the 22/23 Premier League season was played, where the Red's lost 3-2 against Arsenal FC, in a vibrant game, where goals and controversy were not lacking, being the referee Michel Oliver the main protagonist of that afternoon in London.
The match, which took place over a month ago, started off aggressively for the home side, with Carioca Gabriel Martinelli opening the scoring for the Gunner's after just one minute. Things did not stay that way, and it took the courage of Charrúa Darwin Núñez to equalise on the half-hour mark, but at the end of the first half, Englishman Bukayo Saka gave the hosts the lead.

In the second half, Roberto Firmino scored the equaliser, but minutes later a controversial play appeared that would turn the world upside down and ignite social media. Diogo Jota crashed a ball into the hand of defender Gabriel, which for the English referee Michael Oliver went over the line, without sending off the Canarinha player.
In the dugout, Jürgen Klopp exploded, as the television broadcast showed the clear image of where the centre-back should have been sent off and thus leave the 'Gunners' at a disadvantage, in the best moment of the Red's game. The match would end with a dubious penalty in favour of the EPL leaders, only for Three Lions national team player Bukayo Saka to score his brace of the match.
It took 40 days for the same referee Michael Oliver to apologise to Klopp, and accept his mistake, a costly error that cost the Merseyside outfit the game as they struggle to climb the table, where for now, they remain in 6th place with 22 points. Time proved right once again to our coach Klopp, who did not lower his finger and raised his voice in the face of such injustice that although there is no reversible change, it does create a great precedent in the Premier League.
