Since the arrival of Todd Boehly, the Premier League has had to endure all his chit-chat on how he wants to change football. He has already sacked the Champions League manager, Thomas Tuchel (one of Jurgen Klopp's most formidable rivals). So we can see how different his vision of football is from what its supposed to be.

If we just axed a UCL's winner just like that, he is capable of doing anything and we have prove of this statement. Recently the American went to a special conference in New York and didn't hold his thoughts on how the beautiful game is managed in England. “Ultimately I hope that the Premier League takes a little bit of a lesson from American sports".

But what lesson does he wants to teach English football? He suggested a tournament for the bottom four teams and even an All-star game! A really controversial thing to say, since most of the American sports All-star games are made thanks to the division of their sports league. How could you do that just inside one country?

Klopp defends football

After hearing about those ideas, Klopp stated his opinion on that "All-star game" Chelsea owner wants: “He doesn’t wait long. Great. When he finds a date for that, he can call me. He forgets that in the big sports in America, these players have four-month breaks.”

“It is completely different in football. What can I say? Does he want to bring the Harlem Globetrotters as well and let them play against a football team?” With that, we can see that at least the Liverpool manager wants to protect the football as we know it.
