A year ago Liverpool suffered one of the most painful departures in recent years, as Senegalese striker Sadio Mané decided to leave Anfield to join FC Bayern. Mané, who had become a legend at our club, no longer wanted to stay at Liverpool and opted for a new challenge after being convinced by the German team.

However, things for Sadio Mané did not turn out in the best way in his first season in the Bundesliga, because in addition to having a significant drop in level, the Bavarian team did not perform well throughout the campaign which led to the dismissal of their coach and Thomas Tuchel was hired to take charge of the team, although he did not have great results either. Mané's season was so bad that he even had a physical altercation with teammate Leroy Sané, which led to the former Liverpool striker being suspended.

But our Liverpool did not fare much better, because despite having found in Luis Diaz a good replacement for Sadio Mané, the team struggled to get good results and was left out of the next edition of the Champions League, reason why Jürgen Klopp would have decided to carry out a reconstruction in the squad.

In order to do so, Klopp and the Anfield de facto team have considered several signings, prioritizing the arrival of young players capable of contributing immediately to the team, and it is right now, in the summer transfer market, when Klopp could take revenge for what happened with Mané and FC Bayern a year ago, as he could leave Tuchel without one of his great targets.

Klopp's revenge

According to various reports, Khéphren Thuram would not only be on Liverpool's radar but also FC Bayern, who would be willing to offer up to £27 million for the player. According to the newspaper El Nacional, Liverpool do not want Bayern to keep the player and would match the offer, knowing that Thuram would prefer to come to Anfield.
