Liverpool have the Fiorentina midfielder in mind as an alternative to signing the Borussia Dortmund player

The signing of Jude Bellingham is and will continue to be one of the big stories of next summer's transfer market. As of today, Real Madrid and Liverpool are at the top of the list of candidates for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder's services, but they are not the only teams. Manchester City are also close behind and until this week Chelsea were another of the contenders, but it seems that they have decided to drop out of the running due to the high competition and have opted for Declan Rice, as we reported in Don Balon.

The competition to sign Jude Bellingham is so high that teams are already thinking about a plan B in case they cannot convince the English player to sign for their club. Yesterday, in this same media we pointed out that Liverpool, like Chelsea, would have Declan Rice as a second option, but it would not be the only one. If the West Ham midfielder does not end up coming to Anfield either, Jürgen Klopp's side would have their eyes on Sofyan Amrabat, the Moroccan midfielder of Fiorentina and Luis Enrique's next opponent in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

Klopp wants Amrabat

Sofyan Amrabat has shown a great level during the three group matches of the World Cup in Qatar. His high level of performance has led to a number of top clubs showing interest in the player and as reported by The Sun, Liverpool are one of them. The 26-year-old Fiorentina midfielder's contract with the Italian side expires in June 2024 and, according to the English newspaper, his transfer fee could be in the region of 10 million euros. An amount easily affordable for Jürgen Klopp's side considering that both the transfer of Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice will not fall below 70 million euros, and the transfer of the Borussia Dortmund player is very likely to be around 125 million euros.
