The signing of Jude Bellingham will be one of the big stories of next summer and it is not for less, since, so far this season -also in the Qatar 2022 World Cup- the English midfielder has proven to be a decisive player capable of carrying the weight of any team on his back. That is why he has attracted so much interest from clubs of the calibre of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool, among others.

However, there is only one Bellingham and, therefore, given the possibility that he may not end up signing for Liverpool, the team coached by Jürgen Klopp has already set its second priority in the summer transfer market and that, according to information from the British media Sky Sports, would be none other than that of Enzo Fernández, currently playing for Benfica and who has established himself as one of Leo Messi's partners in the Argentina national team.

However, the transfer of the Argentine would not be easy to undertake either, as, according to Fabrizio Romano, his current club is not open to a sale and will refer to his clause of 120 million euros. A figure a little lower than what Borussia Dortmund could ask for Bellingham himself, who, according to reports from Germany, would not let their star player go for less than 150 million euros, as a consequence of the great World Cup he is starring in.

Football-wise, of course, Enzo Fernandez is very similar to Bellingham and, therefore, is a more than reasonable alternative for the Reds. In this sense, they are both two inside players with a lot of finishing and who have a huge amount of technical quality in their boots. In addition, they offer a lot of work without the ball and have the ability to break the pressure lines thanks to their overflow. These qualities are, of course, in addition to the great potential they both have in terms of age (Bellingham is 19, while Enzo is 21).

Liverpool go for Enzo Fernandez

In any case, it is clear that, with so much interest from so many teams in Bellingham, interested clubs should look for an alternative in case the Englishman does not end up signing for them. For now, Liverpool have been the first to do so with their interest in Enzo Fernandez.
