German coach has set his sights on one of Europe's best players

Florentino Pérez is still looking for new young players to reinforce the Real Madrid squad and there is a desire of Carlo Ancelotti that the board is following very closely, in fact the president has already given the green light to his signing. As reported by Defensa Central, Florentino Pérez could soon begin talks to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a Napoli player.

The Georgian has become one of the biggest stars in Serie A this season. His good results have led him to be on the agendas of several big European clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and Real Madrid. Florentino Perez is one of the big players interested in signing him. Carlo Ancelotti was in charge of putting his name on the table, but Real Madrid turned him down as they considered him an unknown quantity.

Now he has become one of the stars of Serie A and the board are determined to make a bid for his signature. The downside is that the biggest rival on the other side of the bidding is Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, who would also be willing to make a big outlay for what could be Mohamed Salah's replacement. At the moment his signing seems a bit of a long shot.

He has a contract with Napoli until 2027 and the fact that he has become one of the most promising players in the squad means that the board are not facilitating negotiations. However, Lasha Salukdvaze, a former Georgian international footballer, has spoken to Metaratings about Liverpool and Real Madrid's interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and assured that sooner or later he will end up at one of the two clubs.

Klopp wants Kvaratskhelia

"Ancelotti and Klopp are following him and I think he will go to Real Madrid or Liverpool in the future," he said. For now Florentino Perez is already determined to start negotiations to fulfil Ancelotti's wishes and take the Georgian star. He will try even though he knows it will not be easy, but among his main targets for 2023 are strikers and one of them is Kvaratskhelia.
