Presence, physical display, ball control, personality and total leadership. All these components make up the football shown by Sofyan Amrabat, the central midfielder of the Moroccan national team. The 26-year-old is considered the best in his position during this World Cup with Morocco, which is further boosted by his team's results.
Sofyan Amrabat has endured and battled against top midfielders such as Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium), Luka Modric (Croatia), Pedri or Busquets (Spain) and Bruno Fernandes (Portugal). In all those matches, the star of the midfield was Amrabat. And that is why Jurgen Klopp wants him at Liverpool.

The Moroccan is under contract with Fiorentina until June 2024, but Liverpool want to sign him with the aim of renewing the average age of their midfield. Amrabat joins other Klopp targets such as Enzo Fernandez and Jude Bellingham. Alberto Maria Fontana, the player's intermediary, said he is happy at Fiorentina:
"We have received many phone calls for him, but we respect the decisions Fiorentina are making. The club decided to go for him and not Torreira, even though they could have played together. The interest is nice, but we have an excellent relationship with the club, as well as the long contract that links him to the club.
Despite those words, it matters little at Liverpool because they know he could command a price tag in the region of €40m or €50m. "You can imagine we are constantly working on these kinds of things like improving the midfield. We talk about the reasons why sometimes it is not working. Sometimes a player is too expensive, sometimes he is not the right player. Situations change, but one thing remains important, it has to be the right player," explained Jurgen Klopp a few weeks ago.
