Guido Rodríguez has been captivating the big teams for a couple of seasons now with his good performances for Real Betis Balompié. The Real Betis side have managed to find the key to get the best out of the Argentinian midfielder, who is one of Jürgen Klopp's great desires for Liverpool. According to the British portal Daily Mail, the South American midfielder is one of the targets of the Reds for the winter transfer window.
Guido Rodriguez is one of the most important players in Manuel Pellegrini's squad, who are making the most of Real Betis' good form. However, there is little they can do to keep hold of their star player, and the fact is that Real Betis need money, as their financial situation is not buoyant. The Argentinian has a contract until 2024 and is valued at 25 million euros, so the La Palmera side would probably accept around 30 million.

One of the most worrying areas for Klopp's team is undoubtedly the midfield, and the Reds have had several players out of action such as Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita and Chamberlain, not to mention the recent injury to Arthur Melo, who will be out for between three and four months. Liverpool are practically forced to reinforce their midfield and Guido Rodriguez looks like a great opportunity for the British side.
There are several players at Real Betis Balompié who could bring in a large handful of millions to the club's coffers, the first of which is Nabil Fekir, but the Andalusian club are not thinking of letting go of their best player. There are others such as Borja Iglesias or Juanmi, who are also untouchable thanks to their goals, so Guido Rodriguez is the most feasible option for cashing in. The Argentine is a fundamental piece for Pellegrini, but he is more replaceable than all the others we have mentioned, plus his sale would leave much more profit given that he only cost 4 million euros, which is already amortised.
For his part, Klopp denies Liverpool can afford to focus too much on City's Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who has scored 20 goals in the campaign. 'As always, when you play against the best striker in the world you have to make sure he doesn't get too many balls. But against City, the problem is that if you mark Haaland with too many you leave openings for the other world-class players, so it's not that simple.'
