Klopp again attacks Saudi Pro League, here's what he said

It is no secret that this summer has been totally marked by the irruption of the Saudi Arabian league in the transfer market of European football, since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr, many great figures of European clubs have decided to follow him and join teams in the Saudi Pro League, which has meant a blow to the various leagues in Europe.

Teams such as our own Liverpool, England's biggest club, Real Madrid and PSG have suffered the ravages of the economic power of Saudi Arabian clubs, which are partly financed by the state. This summer alone, world-class players such as Karim Benzema -the last Ballon d'Or winner- have left for the Saudi Arabian league. Besides him also Neymar, N'Golo Kanté, Roberto Firmino, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Jordan Henderson and many others joined the list led by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, it seems that the ambition of the Saudi Pro League will not end there, on the contrary, this seems to be just the beginning as not only are more players expected to join the exotic Middle Eastern league in the future, but it has also been reported that they are looking to convince UEFA to have a ticket to the 2025 Champions League.

Undoubtedly the economic limitations of European clubs compared to an unrestricted market like Saudi Arabia poses a huge threat to UEFA clubs, which is why Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has once again raised his voice to do something about it.

"Saudi Arabia is making things difficult in the market, much more difficult... Not everything is going right in Europe or the big leagues but the endless money in Saudi Arabia is a problem" he said.
