Speaking on the Keys and Grey PodcastDietmar Hamann has addressed his recent feud with Jurgen Klopp. The two Germans have not been on good terms of late. Hamann recently claimed Liverpool lacked spark, and when Klopp was asked about these comments at a recent press conference, he replied. "Oh great, he's a fantastic source. Very respected everywhere," Klopp sarcastically. said when asked about Hamann's comments (Being a former Liverpool player) doesn't give you the right to say whatever you want, especially when you don't have a clue.
"In fact, I think Didi Hamann doesn't deserve you using his phrase when you ask a question. Do me a favour and ask your own question. Try asking the question without the word 'spark'." Clearly, Klopp wasn't happy with the former midfielder's criticism, but Hamann didn't bite his tongue after this, going as far as to mention the possibility of Klopp being sacked just days later.
Mohamed Salah can't do everything and these players don't help him and are useless
He brings nothing to Liverpool, his performance is poor, but he earns millions
"If they don't win against City on Sunday, then you might be nine or 10 points behind fourth. If the game and the results don't improve, that this discussion [of sacking Klopp] will come up at some point, that's clear, no matter what you've done over the last four or five years," Hamann said. he said. The former Manchester City man spoke about Klopp and his recent comments. "You touched a nerve with that view, didn't you, have you kissed and made up now with the manager?"
"I don't know him personally, but I'll make up with him if I ever see him or when he calls me, if he has a problem with me, that's fine, I can live with that, but I don't have a problem with him, so it's all good," Hamann said. Hamann's comments about Liverpool lacking a spark were not so fierce, but for some reason, Klopp rubbed the wrong way and couldn't help but retort, criticising Hamann's punditry credentials. It seems Hamann isn't too worried about the situation, but it's fair to assume he may not be on Klopp's Christmas card list this year.
Known as Didi to Liverpool fans, Hamann had a new criticism of Klopp that angered the Reds boss: "Liverpool are 14 or 15 points behind the top of the table now and I don't think that one player makes up that many points. Declan Rice is a very capable player but I think it depends on how Fabinho comes back into the season."
