The Reds have had access to great players since since the English top division was reinstated in 1992. Liverpool has frequently been successful in acquiring the greatest players in the world for their squad, whether it is through the transfer market, the renowned academy at Melwood or, more recently, the AXA Training Ground.

However, there have been instances when players, for whatever reason, did not quite measure up. Sometimes it's just a case of things not working out, while for others it's an opportunity too good to pass up to play regular first-team football elsewhere, despite this, playing for a team like Liverpool in the Premier League is always something to be proud of.

Especially so for those who rose through the ranks of youth. Here, we'll look at the Reds players who only managed to make one appearance in the Premier League. It's important to remember that some of these players are still with the team and could wind up playing multiple times before their separate careers are through. Chirivella, Pedro, 2013 in Valencia, signed PL appearance: May 2016 loss to Swansea City (A), 3-1 Nantes, June 2020: Sold, Chirivella was acquired by Liverpool from Valencia in the summer of 2013 before being committed to a scholarship. He would play little for the Reds' first team and seized the chance to depart in the summer of 2020 to play regularly in France.
