Liverpool FC's start to the Premier League season is not leaving a good taste in the mouths of the board and fans who see how the Red's are out of the European places, sitting in 7th place with 16 points. Fortunately, they could make up ground this weekend when they take on bottom-placed Nottingham Forest, who have yet to win in the 22/23 season.

Incidentally, some big names have come forward to join Anfiled. It is well known that at Liverpool FC the competition is high and the results are necessary, therefore, there are players who are in the 'eye of the hurricane', as is the case of Brazilian international Fabinho who in recent games, has been a recurrent in substitutions and does not end up convincing the German coach Jürgen Klopp.

As if he were a little boy, Mbappé will ask a relative if it's good for him to join Liverpool

One of the names Klopp has his eye on is Austrian Konrad Laimer, who is currently out with an ankle injury, but is expected to be available in mid-November. Laimer is a 25-year-old midfielder, nationally capped and until his injury, an undisputed starter in manager Marco Rose's starting eleven, who has deployed him in multiple positions on the pitch, making him a complete player.

Laimer began his career in 2014 when he made his debut for another Red Bull Group team, RB Salzburg, but he made his professional debut at FC Liefering in Austria, which prepared him to join the 'Toros' in 2015 and from there, he made the big jump to the Bundesliga in 2017 to join Leipzig where he has played 167 games and scored 11 goals. This season he has only made six appearances, between league and Champions League.

Klopp insists on Konrad Laimer

Konrad Laimer already had an approach with Jürgen Klopp when in this pre-season, Red Bull Leipzig played a friendly match against Liverpool, where the Anfield team beat the Germans 5-0, having Laimer on the pitch for 90 minutes. His bid will not be easy, as in the race are Bayern Munich and Chelsea, who will fight for him, since a big advantage is that at the end of the season he will be a free agent.
