Former Aston Villa FC academy player and now sports commentator Gaby Agbonlahor recently took to the talkSPORT podcast to openly criticise manager Jürgen Klopp for Liverpool's dismal start to the 2022-2023 season, saying the manager has lost his mind and has cracked under the pressure.
This criticism came in the wake of the manager's clash with local journalists following comments from former Red's star Dietmar Hamann, who was defended by Agbonlahor himself in his space. Didi Hamann won the Champions League for Liverpool, he had a fantastic career, if he can't be critical of the club where he came out on top (Liverpool), then who can," he said.

But the rivalry between the former England international and the German manager originated earlier in the campaign, when the commentator called Jürgen a "petulant child" and Jürgen hit back, reproaching him for his impartial comments he made in favour of Manchester United in their defeat in the last English derby. "Klopp made bad decisions, and his team paid the price," he said.
In addition, Agbonlahor predicted that Liverpool could drop out of the European places, with other teams faring better. "Klopp finished at previous clubs where his seventh season was his last. Maybe you could get to the end of the season where Liverpool don't finish in the top four, because to be honest, it could happen, but to be honest, I don't think it will happen," the talkSPORT contributor said.
The German manager and his club will have another golden opportunity when they take on leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday in the 11th game of the season where the bookmakers and pundits believe the Citizens are overwhelming favourites to win. Both are coming off the back of a different last game, with one side winning in Galsglow, Scotland and the other failing to win in Copenhagen, Denmark.
