The USA star is about to enter the final 18 months of his contract, according to the Daily Mail, and is expected to create a struggle in the summer window between Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle, despite Graham Potter's team having paid £58 million to bring him in from the Bundesliga nearly four years ago.

Neither the player nor Chelsea have yet made a move to begin negotiations for a new contract. According to a report that outlines the reasons why the former Borussia Dortmund star may leave Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, Liverpool are one of the clubs who could sign Chelsea and USMNT striker Christian Pulisic in January.

More Liverpool news:

When Pulisic was still a member of Dortmund, Liverpool made an offer of £11 million to sign him in 2016. He was only 17 years old at the time, Klopp wanted to bring him to Anfield, but the deal fell through, and Chelsea ended up paying far more to acquire him in January 2019, according to the same Daily Mail story, Pulisic has drawn interest from Serie A clubs AC Milan and Juventus.

Liverpool is also mentioned as having a chance to sign Pulisic due to their "long-term admiration" for the player. Of course, Liverpool has already backed themselves to get more from players who struggled at Chelsea, as they did with Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge. Despite Graham Potter's team having paid £58 million to bring him in from the Bundesliga nearly four years ago.

Pulisic struggles finding his place

Neither the player nor Chelsea have yet made a move to begin negotiations for a new contract. Pulisic is still only 24, his time at Chelsea has been frustrating as he has struggled to establish a regular place in the team. However, this is a familiar tale given the recent struggles of other talented attackers like Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
