Through empathy, the Reds won the applause of their audience

If there is one thing Liverpool have done well over many years, it is to be an institution that always supports those in need in England, donating large sums of money to food banks, as they did in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Now, the club set out to make another such gesture by handing out food that had been prepared for their postponed clash against Wolverhampton.

According to information published by journalist David Lynch on his twitter account, the Anfield side decided to make this great gesture to people in the local community, also helping organisations such as the Whitechapel Centre, Victory Outreach and Fans Supporting Foodbanks, an act that was immediately applauded by users of the social network.

Although the results have not been in the team's favour at the start of the 2022-2023 season, Reds fans have shown respect and gratitude to the Anfield institution for having taken this decision regarding the supplies already prepared for Saturday, hoping that after the restart of the Premiership the result can be achieved to crown this brilliant work of empathy.

So far it is not known if Liverpool has been the only team that had its game scheduled for this weekend to donate their food to other people or associations that need it, because obviously all the games of the English competition were surprised by the cancellation of matchday 7 due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Liverpool's solidarity

For the moment, solidarity, empathy and understanding have been the constant messages towards the club, but this is likely to change after the resumption of the competition on September 17, where the demands and good results will return to a group that will have enough days to find the problem that today has them submerged in a crisis of good results.
