After several seasons, his tenure will come to an end

Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool this summer, bringing his seven-season spell at the club to an end. The signing of Darwin Nunez has robbed him of his share of minutes which has pushed him towards an exit. Since his arrival from Hoffenheim he has proved to be a key player in the Reds' success but at 30 years of age he has to give a new direction to the end of his career.

According to TodoFichajes, Atletico Madrid are one of the teams that have the Brazilian on their list of targets. The striker is an old desire of Diego Pablo Simeone and now that he is free, there is a great opportunity to add him to the squad.

They will not be alone in the bidding for the Carioca, as Juventus are also after Firmino. In fact, Firmino's name has already been mentioned as a potential signing in Turin in the last transfer window and he is currently the main candidate to sign him. In any case, the cards are already on the table and both Atlético de Madrid and Juventus hope to close negotiations after the World Cup in Qatar.

From the offices of the Metropolitano they are following with great interest the delicate situation of Jürgen Klopp's historic team. We are talking about Brazilian Roberto Firmino, the 30-year-old striker has not accepted the offer to renew his contract with Liverpool. His contract expires in June 2023, so from January he will be able to negotiate with any club.

He is not happy in the team

Firmino is unhappy in England and would be happy to leave Liverpool as a free agent next year. The Maceio-born striker, who has scored three goals in five games this season, is likely to have several suitors but Atletico and Juventus have the edge in the race to sign him.
