With just over two months to go before the European transfer market reopens, it has already become known that Premier League side Brigton are negotiating for one of their Ecuadorian players for the next window, and the move would be to a giant of the old continent. After his great performance against Manchester City, British media reports indicate that Brighton have already received the intention to negotiate with Chelsea FC and Liverpool for Moises Caicedo, both want to have the 'tricolor' midfielder closed in the first days of talks.

The initial offer of 50 million euros and a further 10 million euros in variables has already been presented, although without detailing whether it comes from Potter's Blues or Jürgen Klopp's Reds. These two teams have been linked with the former Independiente del Valle for several weeks now. Caicedo's request to Chelsea was made by Graham Potter, the tactician who already gave the former Independiente del Valle his debut in England and ratified him as a starter, while Klopp's side need him after their defensive shortcomings in midfield.

Liverpool visit Ajax on Wednesday with their hopes of a favourable result that will see them qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League intact, but Jürgen Klopp lamented injuries to Thiago Alcántara. With the possibility of getting a place in the next round if they win or draw, but they will have to do it without the Spaniard. "Thiago is still out, I don't know if he will be fit for the weekend. Konaté is here and is ready to play minutes, I would say," he said.  At the same time, in a press conference, the coach acknowledged the fitness problems of his players, which prevented him from repeating the team on several occasions: "When you want it to really click, you need consistency in the line-up and we haven't had that.

"When you have a lot of injuries, players who should be rested have to play and players come back from injuries too soon. That's complicated. You don't fix that situation overnight," said the disgruntled German. He added: "We've played very well a couple of times, but it's not like we haven't had problems. We win a game and then we lose two players and another one who can't play more than 20 minutes. We have enough players with us tomorrow.
