Beyond the World Cup title that France and Argentina are competing for, many individual players from both teams could be getting a better quality of life by moving to a better club. Such is the case of the French national team that has at least a dozen top clubs on its radar that would be following their players this weekend.

Liverpool FC through German coach Jürgen Klopp have serious plans to sign French attacking sensation Randal Kolo Muani, but to have the striker at Anfield, the team will have to part with someone to make up the wage bill, and one of those sacrificed would be Guinean midfielder Naby Keita, who recently had a move to Dubai.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's harsh words about Southgate on return to Liverpool

Keita, who arrived from RB Leipzig in July 2018, has been going through a series of situations that have taken him away from his high level. For example in this semester the 27-year-old only participated in the last FA Community Shield, which Liverpool won over Manchester City in the first official tournament of the season. Keita played just five minutes there.

If Keita leaves the Red's, Klopp would make a masterstroke to save the club around €603K per month, giving a yearly figure of around €7.23M. With that income, the Merseyside club could go for Kolo Muani, who would be on a better salary than he currently receives at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he is a reference point at the club and in the German Bundesliga itself.

Keita leaves Liverpool

Kolo has had a decent World Cup, scoring in the last match for the Gauls. Muani, who came on late in the game, scored in the 79th minute to secure the win for Didier Deschamps' side, who are in the hunt for a second World Cup title. Meanwhile, Naby Keita's contract will expire next year and there is no intention of renewing it.
