Real Madrid are eyeing Jude Bellingham (19) and Enzo Fernandez (21) as potential midfield reinforcements for next season. The club are well aware that the Borussia Dortmund midfielder and the Benfica midfielder are on the books of big clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester City and that they will have to fight hard and invest a large sum of money if they want to sign them.

In addition, their performances at the World Cup have raised their transfer value. Bellingham, Madrid's main target, has emerged as the leader of the England engine room, who were knocked out by France in the quarter-finals. Enzo Fernandez, meanwhile, started as a substitute in Qatar but has earned a place in Lionel Scaloni's eleven as one of Leo Messi's great team-mates, the architect of the Albiceleste's place in Sunday's final.

The asking price for Jude Bellingham could be in the region of 150 million euros. Bild reported this week that Liverpool are very close to signing the England midfielder in a deal that could be worth up to 150 million euros. The white club, for their part, are not willing to enter a bid in which Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are also involved.

The other midfielder of the moment (and of the World Cup) is Enzo Fernandez, whose value has skyrocketed following his great performance in Qatar. The Benfica player was one of the transfer market's 'underdogs' but his World Cup explosion has definitely put him on the radar of the big boys, including Liverpool, who are looking to reshape their midfield.

After the final, Fernandez to negotiate with Liverpool

The Argentinian was signed by Benfica from River Plate for just 12 million euros (he has a contract until 2027) and now his market value could be in the region of 100 million. The bidding for Bellingham and Enzo has begun with Madrid on the prowl.
