Regarding the mentioned seasons in which The Citizens shouted “We are the champions” so loudly, the points accumulated in each earned trophy were the following: 86 in the 2020/2021 season, 93 in the 2021/2022 season, and 89 in the 2022/2023. In each case, Liverpool was so near to winning the Premier League in the second one, when ended with 92 points.

Since 1992, the Reds only could win one Premier League with the new format and the new name. In resume, one league trophy in 30 years approximately. Is too few for a giant club that desires to conquer every tournament that must play and compete until the end year by year. It’s not easy, nor impossible.

In this case, the Reds’ journey was impeccable until 10 rounds before the end because the first defeat was against Watford away with an alternative squad because of a near UEFA Champions League game. 26 rounds undefeated were enough to confirm the champion between seven and six matches before the 38th game.

Regarding the number of points that Manchester City accumulated in the last three years, the approximate average to obtain will be 90. This quantity could be enough to compete until the end with the defender champion or other team with regular results during the official season.
