After six successful seasons, Senegal's Sadio Mané decided to leave Liverpool last summer. The 30-year-old striker headed for another of the continent's big clubs, Bayern Munich, and did so with the idea of becoming one of their new attacking focal points. But so far his move has been a failure because he has not adapted to his new club.
Recruited last summer for €32m, Senegal's Sadio Mané has yet to show his best form for Bayern Munich. Although criticism is beginning to mount, the Bavarian club believe that it is only a matter of time before the player makes the step up to the next level. In recent days, it was said that one of the culprits for his departure was the Colombian Luis Diaz, as he took away the Senegalese's prominence.

Although his qualities and experience made his signing seem like a safe bet, the truth is that the weeks are passing and the striker is still not at his best. The player from Sédhiou has scored five goals in 11 official matches, but his performance is still far from justifying the €32 million invested in his signing.
As is often the case in such cases, misgivings and criticisms have already been voiced. "Mané is not integrated, he seems isolated and hardly takes part in Bayern's play. I could rotate him more in attack from time to time and sit him down. For me, Musiala and Sané have priority," said former Munich player Dieter Hamann recently.
Fortunately for the African, Bayern are not yet nervous. In fact, Bayern director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic took the opportunity to speak to Sky Sports to give a message of support to his pupil and assure him that it is only a matter of time before Mané performs at the desired level. "Sadio still needs a bit of time, he needs to get used to the Bundesliga, but he will. I know what it's like to come to a new team, in a different country, in a different city, in a slightly different football culture. Sadio is in this process, soon everything will be more familiar to him and soon we will see him on the pitch as well," he said.
