A member of Liverpool's first-team squad from 1999 to 2006, former player Dietmar Hamann has recently cast doubt on Jürgen Klopp's ability to revive a team that has made a disappointing start to the season (10th in the Premier League). He says he feels he is the right person to do it, but I see little things. There's something we haven't seen at Liverpool for five years. Maybe those little signs that people are having problems in the team or with the manager.'

Speaking to talkSPORT, the German hinted that the Anfield Road outfit's run of poor results could be the beginning of the end of the relationship between the manager and the English club. Liverpool look tired, that they are not up to the task. I'm not sure where the spark will come from, because they've won games before. They beat Rangers, but they are far superior. But is it the end of an era? I wouldn't write them off, not at all, but my imagination doesn't lead me to see where that spark will show up in the next few weeks,' he said.

Arsenal managed to take all three points against Liverpool. Jürgen Klopp, the Reds' manager, came out after the game to a press conference visibly affected by the outcome of the match.  He spoke about their position in the table: We don't have to look at the standings yet. I know where we are without looking at it, we are not fools, this is not the problem. It's the points and we have to sort it out'.

Klopp said at the end of the clash: 'Now that the game is over, we cannot accept this situation.
