Since it became known that the 2022 World Cup would be held in a country with too many restrictions for all visitors, including footballers, speculation about what could and could not be done in Qatar has been rife. While several teams have decided to respect the views and opinions of the Qataris, others are sticking to their ideals even though they have been warned of being sanctioned for doing an "illegal" act in their country.

While it is shocking how many restrictions Qatar has on these amounts, it is even more impressive that the England team is standing firm with their ideals, for even though the country has issues with the issue of "homophobia", the group led by manager Gareth Southgate will come out with a possible armband symbolising inclusion and diversity, kneeling on the pitch within minutes of kicking off their Group B activity.

The armband with the legend "OneLove", it is said that it could be seen mainly on the arm of the captain of the national team, Henry Kane, having the Tottenham striker to be punished from the start of the match with a yellow card for wearing that phrase that represents the ideals if not of an entire nation at least of that group that represents England at the moment.

Evidently the English are well aware of the thousands of criticisms, controversies and even sanctions that will be earned once they carry out this act on Monday, but even with that they remain firm in their position, so much so that even Liverpool player Jordan Henderson could be painted yellow when wearing the armband as it should be remembered that the veteran centre-back from Anfield acts as a second captain in the Three Lions team.

Henderson will not be allowed to wear the captain's armband

Nine nations including Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium agreed in September to wear the armband, which symbolises many things at once, signalling their total dissatisfaction with the host country and the damage it has done to human rights fans.
