One of the most beloved coaches in the history of our Liverpool is undoubtedly our current manager Jürgen Klopp, as he has managed to bring the club back to the top of the European scene, but before the arrival of Klopp, the Spanish Rafa Benitez was the one who put Liverpool on top of the world and is remembered with great affection at Anfield.
Benitez will forever be a Reds legend, as under his command Liverpool won the Champions League title in 2005, in what is now known as the "Miracle of Istanbul", one of the most exciting finals in the history of the competition in which our Liverpool defeated AC Milan after going in at halftime trailing 3-0.
However, after his time at Anfield, Benitez has had spells at other clubs including our neighbors and rivals, Everton. Still, Benitez is a much-loved manager and his legacy will be impossible to erase. Perhaps only Jürgen Klopp himself has a slightly more special place in the hearts of fans, as the German tactician would be incapable of betraying the team in the way Benitez has done in the past.
Now, after a long period of professional inactivity, Rafa Benitez could resume his coaching career in his native country, as various media have reported that Celta Vigo would be interested in Benitez becoming their new manager, something that would interest the former Liverpool manager.
One of the main targets in the transfer market for Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool board is Gabri Veiga, a 21-year-old Spanish midfielder who currently plays for Celta Vigo. However, if Rafa Benitez's arrival at Celta Vigo materializes, it could prevent his departure to Anfield.
