Liverpool has been the cradle of great legends, not only of the club, but of world football. In the era before our team was repositioned as one of the best in Europe, we had a trident that excited everyone at Anfield and made us believe that maybe they would be the salvation of the team, however those players did not show loyalty to the team.
Before Salah, Mané and Firmino, our Liverpool had an attack that caused terror among the rivals, as it aimed to be one of the most dangerous in Europe. That trident was made up of Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho, and of the three it seemed that the Brazilian was the most talented, as from an early age he emerged as one of the best in the team and it was said that he had the talent to become a legend at Anfield.
However, after the departures of Suarez and Sterling, Coutinho did not want to be patient and did not trust Jürgen Klopp's project, so despite the German tactician's insistence, he asked to leave Liverpool in 2018, as he intended to arrive at a team that could win everything. That was how, at the peak of his career and at the highest point of his level, he signed for FC Barcelona for 135 million euros.
But things did not turn out as Coutinho had hoped, as the same season in which he left Liverpool, Klopp managed to lead us to lift the Champions League trophy, which marked the beginning of a new golden era for the Reds of which Coutinho was not a part due to his disloyalty.
What was thought to be a successful career and one that would make him one of the best players in the world has turned out to be far from expectations. Since his departure from Liverpool, Philippe Coutinho has never been able to regain his top level. Barcelona and FC Bayern did not want him and he ended up at Aston Villa, a team that currently wants to sell him and now Coutinho could end up playing in the Turkish league with Besiktas.
