Perhaps the least impactful departures at Liverpool are all those involving academy players who got only glimpses of first-team football, whether it be appearances from the bench or just a few spells on the pitch at some stage of the season, with some of these departures having to be taken as a partial failure of consolidation in Jurgen Klopp's squad.

Among all these prospects who one day had a minimum visibility with the Reds first team, perhaps one of the most striking is Max Woltman, a player who at the time was considered as part of the German tactician's options to be able to come in as a substitute in UEFA Champions League matches for the 2021-2022 edition,  The English player, despite having made his debut in Europe's top competition at the San Siro against Milan for a few moments, his career from that day until today was not solid enough to continue to be contemplated.

After rumours had been swirling that several of the institution's prospects were being placed at different clubs in the various categories in England and other leagues in Europe, the Anything Liverpool account announced that the 19-year-old striker will leave Merseyside to join Oxford United in Football League One as soon as possible.

Liverpool have a plan for their youngsters

Although in recent days more and more young players have been leaving Liverpool's academy, this situation rather than being taken as a failure where the players are looking for a chance to consolidate their careers in the sport,  This is an opportunity for their playing time in less demanding categories to give them that maturity that is not fully achieved in the lower divisions of the institution, with both Klopp and the board wanting young players with vast experience who can be in tune with the strategies and demands of a Premier League duel or any other competition in which the Reds see activity.
