One of the last great talents to set foot at Anfield was the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho. A player of great offensive qualities. Good dribbling, great speed, excellent ball striking and a charisma that dazzled all Liverpool fans and, at the same time, aroused the interest of other big teams in Europe.

Coutinho joined Liverpool in 2013 from Inter Milan, and after his arrival he quickly adapted to the physical and fast-paced game of the Premier League, so his value increased dramatically. The attacking midfielder also formed part of one of the most dangerous tridents in Europe alongside Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling, with whom he quickly generated a great understanding on the pitch that excited the fans.

However, the joy of that great combination was short-lived, as Suarez decided to leave for FC Barcelona and Sterling left for Manchester City, leaving Philippe Coutinho alone, but with the possibility of becoming a legend of the team by demonstrating that, for him, the most important thing was to stay at Anfield and win titles that, until then, had been denied to our Liverpool.

But it wasn't to be. Philippe Coutinho did not want to continue in the team and, at the peak of his football level, when the Transfermarkt portal valued him at 150 million euros, he decided that his time at Anfield was over and went to FC Barcelona, a team with which he believed he could win all the titles that he had been denied at Liverpool for years. However, the regret came early as in the same season he left, Liverpool won the Champions League while he was injured and unable to perform at his best due to injuries.

How much is Coutinho worth now?

After his time at FC Barcelona, a team in which he never managed to show his best level, Philippe Coutinho went to FC Bayern where he was part of the squad that won a Champions League, but without being the decisive player that everyone thought he could be. Today he plays for Aston Villa in the Premier League, but his value has declined too much and now he is only worth 10 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
