The board could shell out big money to sign one of Klopp's biggest targets

Jürgen Klopp continues to look for ways to sign players for next season, and it seems that time is now running against the German tactician's intentions, as his initial plan was to have all the players he had in mind for this point of the summer when all the players have already reported for the team's preseason.

During the current transfer window, Klopp and the Anfield board have been able to make two very good signings with the arrivals of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, two players who promise to be very important in the future of the team and on whom there is a great expectation, as only in these two signings has been spent 112 million euros.

However, it seems that this is not enough for Jürgen Klopp who would now be prioritizing the arrival of a central defender capable of helping Virgil van Dijk to improve what was done last season in which our Liverpool had the worst defense of the top five teams in the Premier League. In that sense, option A for Klopp is Chelsea's 20-year-old defender Levi Colwill, whose signing seems unlikely due to Chelsea's unwillingness to negotiate his exit.

That is why our coach has a plan B and that would be Perr Schurrs, the Dutch defender from Torino who is valued at 25 million euros and has aroused the interest of several teams in Europe, but it is said that the most interested would be Liverpool. At 23 years of age, Schuurs is one of the most promising defenders in the Netherlands and playing alongside legend Virgil van Dijk could be very good for him, and everything seems to indicate that the player himself wants a change of scenery.

Schuurs' wink to Liverpool

Italian media outlet Tuttosport has claimed that Perr Schuurs has already said goodbye to his teammates at Torino as he knows that his future is far from Serie A. In that sense it has been said that Liverpool already presented a first offer for him but it was rejected as Torino expects to get 40 million euros. When questioned about his departure, the defender said "I don't know if I will stay, my agents and the club are evaluating the offers that have arrived".
