Some of the greatest players of all time have played for Liverpool and have become legends of the beautiful game. Liverpool is a club where only the best can shine and those who show their talent at Anfield usually become one of the best players in the world, but there are also those who, despite having all the qualities to succeed and become legends, simply do not succeed.
Such is the case of Philippe Coutinho, a player who during his time at Anfield won the hearts of all the fans thanks to his enormous talent and great qualities that quickly made him the best player in the team at the time. The Brazilian became one of the most promising players in the world and became worth millions of euros, however, he did not know how to have the necessary patience and decided to betray Jürgen Klopp by asking to be transferred to FC Barcelona.
However, things did not turn out as Coutinho expected, because not only did he not achieve the success he thought he was going to get in Spain, but also he was never able to consolidate or show the level he showed at Anfield. Moreover, the same year he decided to leave Liverpool was the same year in which our Reds were crowned Champions League champions.
Since then Coutinho has gone from one team to another without being able to find his best version, which was undoubtedly the one he showed at Anfield a few years ago. After failing at Barcelona he had a brief spell at FC Bayern, a team that also did not want to keep him and finally ended up at Aston Villa, where he has not been even the shadow of the player he promised to be and now his destiny could be in an exotic league.
After a season in which he only scored one goal and played only 22 games, Aston Villa would have decided to sell Coutinho and try to recover at least part of the 20 million they paid for him in 2022. For now, it seems that the only team interested in signing Coutinho is Besiktas of the Turkish league, who would have offered to take the 31-year-old Brazilian player on loan for one year with an option to buy for 9 million euros.
