Liverpool were unable to clinch qualification against Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday after a 2-2 draw at Anfield, but at least they enjoyed the debut of latest signing Cody Gakpo. The Dutchman admitted he had some "sloppy moments" on his debut in a red shirt, but feels he will improve in the coming weeks as he adapts to the style of play of Jurgen Klopp's side.

"[It was a] great atmosphere. On my own game, I think I showed some good moments," the 23-year-old told Liverpool's official website. He added: "[But I also had] some sloppy moments. I can still improve those points and keep working and try to help the team as much as I can. Of course, you learn more when you play, so I hope for [more]."

Despite Wolves forcing the replay with the equaliser, Gakpo was not too downhearted with the result, convinced that the Reds showed very good football in various passages of the game.

"I think we played, at times, very good football. We didn't score enough, so it's a shame. But I think we showed what we could do. We can still improve on some points, [so] let's work on that," he said.

"I think we showed a real team spirit, so that's good. We have to go there [to Molineux] with great determination and just go for the win," added the man who scored 56 goals in 158 games for PSV.
