Frenkie De Jong's conditions for joining Liverpool

According to several media reports in England, Liverpool are working on planning their squad for next season with the intention of remaining one of the best teams in the world and one of the club's new targets is Frenkie de Jong. The Reds are in search of a midfielder who can establish himself as one of the best in the world in the short and long term, considering that names like Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner are in their final years in Europe's elite.

Liverpool are keen to secure the services of the Dutchman because he is a profile that Jürgen Klopp likes, given his ability to move around different areas of the pitch, his ball control to break lines and good passing. Frenkie de Jong is one of the players FC Barcelona want to sell to lower the wage bill for the next summer transfer window and they would be willing to let him leave in the next winter transfer window. It is said that they would let him leave for 80 million euros. 

The latest reports claim that Barcelona could consider retaining Frenkie de Jong as long as he is willing to reduce his salary, which currently stands at 22 million euros, to less than half, something that the player would be willing to accept in order to stay at Camp Nou, which helps to close soon his continuity at the club, hence the intention to reject now the negotiation with any club that puts on the table an offer for the Dutch player.

Other names that are being touted to arrive at Anfield Road next summer are West Ham United's Declan Rice and Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.
