Terrier was considered by Liverpool as a possible Sadio Mané replacement. Naturally, the Reds recruited Darwin Nunez as a forwards in the summer, and Terrier's potential interest seemed to be lost.
But Media Foot thinks it never truly vanished, the three clubs who have enquired about the player with Rennes are Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Terrier would be keen in any deal, which would probably cost around £34 million. He has his sights set on the French team, and a significant transfer would almost surely pave the way. Terrier may not be the biggest name in football, but in 2022, his fame has soared. Kylian Mbappé and Neymar are the only Ligue 1 players with more goals so far this year.
Terrier finished last season with 21 goals in Ligue 1 and boasts another eight already this campaign. It’s a big, big step up from the nine he got two seasons ago and the player ticks a few other boxes, too. At 25, he’s just coming into his prime, while he can also play across the front line. £34m could end up being fantastic
Business for the right club but is that Liverpool FC? We don't believe there is any chance of a January trade now that Cody Gakpo has arrived. However, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain probably leaving and Roberto Firmino's future still up in the question, the summer may work, so there shouldn't be any imminent news
On this front however, we believe Terrier is indeed a solid long-term alternative and one that Liverpool supporters should watch, The Premier League clubs are interested in signing the forwards, who is a hot commodity who appears set to move on to a bigger team shortly. Which clubs have the best chance of doing so?
