Our Liverpool, little by little, begins to give the final shape to the squad that Jürgen Klopp will have for the 2023-2024 season. After weeks of uncertainty and many rumors, the Anfield board has managed to secure the third reinforcement of the summer, as the arrival of Wataru Endo from VfB Sttutgart, for whom they paid €18 million, has been made official.
However, it is still uncertain whether Wataru Endo will be able to make his debut against Bournemouth as he has not yet received his work permit. However, fans were not so worried as we received good news in the week regarding the return of Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic to first-team training after overcoming their respective injuries.
Given this, many fans thought that both, or perhaps one of the two could be eligible for the Premier League matchday 2 against Bournemouth and play in that defensive midfield role that is so lacking in Jürgen Klopp's scheme. However, Klopp himself has ruled out that Thiago or Stefan will be active this weekend, as he assured that he does not want to rush their return and risk them relapsing into injuries, but he did mention what could be the date for the return of both.
Jürgen Klopp assured that although Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic are already training with the first team it is very unlikely that we will see them in action for the following games, and mentioned that maybe after the international break the team could already be complete. "We need to give them time. We cannot rush that. It will look completely different after the international break but until then we have super important games," he said.
