This summer we will witness Fabinho's departure from Liverpool, as the 29-year-old defensive midfielder is set to leave Anfield after 5 years at the club, in which he won every trophy possible and became one of the pillars of the team.
Fabinho, who was considered to be a first-team regular next season, accepted an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, where he will arrive in the coming days to join Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kanté as a new teammate. His departure, which was not budgeted, is a huge loss for Jürgen Klopp, who will now have to think of a suitable replacement to take his place.
In that sense, several names have emerged as possible candidates to take his place, particularly knowing that his departure will leave £40 million to the club's board, which could use that money to bring in another younger player who can fit into the team's long-term project. Klopp's main target is Romeo Lavia, the 19-year-old Belgian midfielder for whom the board has already launched a second bid of £45 million. However, Lavia is not Liverpool's only option.
According to the Brazilian press, particularly journalist Bruno Andrade, one of the players who has been on Liverpool's radar, André Trindade, will travel to England to join a Premier League club, as his agent Jorge Mendes is doing his best to get him a deal in English football. With this information, many have begun to speculate if it is Liverpool, although Fulham have also shown interest in him.
