The controversy surrounding Liverpool's defeat to Tottenham due to a blatant refereeing error made by the VAR continues to generate endless comments on Merseyside, with Linda Pizzuti, the wife of Reds owner John Henry, taking the opportunity to speak out. The FSG boss's wife was still surprised by the pair of red cards and the disallowed goal by Luis Diaz.

The post on Linda Pizzuti's Instagram was shared on Twitter by the LFC Tranfer Room account, with the image reading a message in which she doubted the red cards for Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota, not to mention the alleged offside on a spectacular goal by Lucho Diaz.

But even with the number of errors suffered by the Merseyside side, Pizzuti has highlighted in her message the brilliant work of the institution even with nine men on the pitch, fighting until the end where Tottenham unfortunately scored the winning goal, which meant for Jurgen Klopp and his people the first hard blow of the season that ruins more than just their unbeaten Premier League record.

Reds could seek retaliation

With the Merseyside outfit unable to make a move for a replay in the face of such refereeing errors, the Reds could take action against PGMOL to demand some sort of sanction against those referees who were not up to scratch in a match that was good football but was tainted by the men making the decisions on the pitch.
