Manchester City and Liverpool are set to enter a battle for midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to reports that the Manchester club are interested in the Fulham player. The 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder is also on the books of other leading clubs, including Bayern Munich. Fulham, meanwhile, have set a £60m price tag to sell the talented player. Since joining Fulham from Sporting CP last year for £20 million, Joao Palhinha has emerged as one of the Premier League's best midfielders. With 56 appearances to his name, he has contributed six goals and one assist, establishing himself as a key figure for both club and country.

Although Bayern Munich tried to sign Palhinha in the summer transfer window, the move failed to materialise. Now, Manchester City are joining the competition, looking to strengthen their midfield in the January transfer window. Liverpool, meanwhile, have also expressed an interest in the player, considering him a viable option to strengthen their midfield.

Fulham have set a lofty £60 million asking price for Joao Palhinha, reflecting his importance and outstanding performances in the Premier League. Both English clubs Manchester City and Liverpool are financially able to meet these demands, but will face competition from Bayern Munich, who maintain their interest in the talented Portuguese midfielder.

Klopp wants Palhinha in winter sale

With the winter transfer window just around the corner, Joao Palhinha's situation is becoming increasingly intriguing - will the Portuguese player choose the Premier League, or will he go for Bayern Munich, who have been chasing his signature since the summer? The answer will be revealed in the coming weeks when the January transfer window opens.
