It seems that the Saudi Pro League's incursion into the European market is far from over, because according to the French portal FootMercato, Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr wants to sign our goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is currently considered one of the best in the world and is a key and fundamental player for our Liverpool's scheme.
In the last few weeks we have lost two very important players to the economic might of the Saudi Pro League, and now we are paying the price for letting those players leave without having a backup plan. We are talking about the recent departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, who joined the long list of players who left European football for the Saudi league, and whose departures from Anfield left a big hole in the team.
More recently, it has also been reported that Al-Ittihad, the club that signed Fabinho, are interested in signing our biggest star Mohamed Salah. According to media reports, the Saudi Arabian club offered Liverpool €60 million to sign Salah, who was promised a stratospheric €180 million salary for two seasons, however the Pharaoh has no intention of leaving Liverpool for now and is reported to be 100% committed to the club.
Now, the Anfield board will have to face Al-Nassr's reported interest in our first-choice goalkeeper, who just in the first Premier League game of the season proved that he is still a key player for us, however FootMercato claims that the 30-year-old Brazilian would be "tempted" to look for a new challenge in his career.
Although an approximate figure of what Al-Nassr could offer Liverpool to sign Alisson Becker has not been revealed, it is estimated that they could try to make an offer of no more than €50 million, as the Brazilian goalkeeper is currently valued at €35 million and from what we have seen this summer, the Saudi Pro League is not offering too high sums in terms of transfer fees.
