Juventus are going through one of their worst moments. The financial scandal in which the Italian club is immersed has led to 15 points being deducted in the domestic competition, with the 'Vecchia Signora' being considered to have altered the valuation of players in some transfers and generated capital gains. After part of the club's board resigned (president Andrea Agnelli and vice-president Pavel Nedved, among others) and Fabi Paratici, now Tottenham's sporting director, was banned for two and a half years, there is now talk that the players themselves who played for Juve during the period under investigation, between 2018 and 2020, could be suspended.

Cristiano Ronaldo and 22 players (plus would be suspended for 30 days because of the investigation, a suspension that should be served whether or not the players are currently playing for Juventus if it is finally proven that they were complicit in what was going on and are also considered culpable in the financial fraud. If that were to happen, Cristiano would no longer be able to play for his new club, Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, and would have to sit out the month-long suspension. A circumstance that would not exactly please Al Nassr, who have invested an exorbitant $200 million in signing the Portuguese. With Ronaldo now the main traction in the Middle Eastern country's league, the loss of his services for 30 days could be felt considerably.

The players themselves, sent to testify last 2022, acknowledged this: "It was a confusing moment. I remember we agreed to decide whether to accept or not, all together. A lot of people thought we had given up four months' salary and nobody knew that we would have accepted three months paid up front. I remember exactly when I signed the agreement on the reduction we had already reached an agreement with the club," he said.

Arthur Melo also suspended

According to Get Italian Football News, The deal of Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic between Juventus and Barcelona is being investigated by FIGC. Arthur Melo could be suspended for 30 days after being caught up in Juventus' pay scandal.  Juventus falsely submitted that his wages have been lowered.
